Luke and Jae's E3 Wrap Up Awards
Feature from Luke and Jae - Saturday, 09 July 2011 @ 3:11am
Australian Gamer had Jae and I on the floor at E3 where we experienced over 40 games during the 3 days. It kicked our ass but we had a stack of fun running around the place. There are some seriously awesome games coming out in the near future, I can’t wait to play them but I'm sure you're just as keen. Here is a quick wrap up of some of our highlights for the show.
Far Cry 3
Sitting in the Ubisoft press conference they kicked off the demo without telling us the name of what we were about to see. Stunning visuals, brutal shooting elements, and to top it off an amazing performance from an insane bad guy. Then the Far Cry 3 logo pops up on the screen. Absolutely blown away.
Brothers In Arms: Furious Four
Gearbox showed off their brand new game behind closed doors at E3. Think Borderlands meets Inglourious Basterds.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
I’m not an Assasins Creed fan boy, but holy shit. This trailer is all sorts of awesome.
Bastion
After getting time with games like Modern Warfare 3, Assassins Creed : Revelations, Batman: Arkham City, and Uncharted 3 the very last game I played on day 1 of E3 was an indie title called Bastion. On Twitter I wrote “keep an eye out for this one”. Then on the last day of E3 I walked past their small demo area and saw this...

I’m glad everyone on the Twitters listened.
Battlefield 3
We got to get our hands on Battlefield, ohhhh man am I going to be broke when this game drops.
Kanye West – Power
It couldn't be escaped, not matter where you stood on show floor off in the distance Kanye could be heard.
Prey 2
Here is a game that destroyed both our expectations, where did this come from! Prey 2 looks bad ass.
Nintendo
Showing off their brand new console… well the controller for the new console, Nintendo is continuing their push to take gaming consoles in an interesting direction.

BioShock Infinite
The only game we saw where the presenter did not commentate throughout the demonstration. They introduced it and then let the game do all the talking for 15 minutes. I want this now.
So that is it for the moment, keep an eye out for our written previews, there is a lot more to come!
