The AG Rock Band 3 DLC Jamboree - 5th April, 2011

This weekly article will serve as a guide for what DLC is appearing on the various digital Rock Band stores this week in history. With a veritable bevy of usually quite decent content appearing every week, hopefully this article can serve as somewhat of a guide for what to look out for and what to avoid like the clappers.

Interesting week on the Rock Band DLC front - initially, the lovely folks at TrueAchievements.com had me believing that Justin Bieber was going to grace the Rock Band stores with his cancerous presence. I was not impressed - No Bruce Springsteen, no Led Zeppelin, no U2 but Justin Beiber is OK.

Luckily, it turned out to be a fortuitous April Fool's joke, so onto the real DLC.

Rock Band 3:

Odd mix this week that I can't honestly say I'm across at all - in fact, only the Joy Division song rang any bells to me. Still, here's what's on the regular store this week:

• Grand Funk Railroad – The Loco-Motion
• Grand Funk Railroad – We’re an American Band (Pro)
• J. Geils Band – Freeze-Frame (Pro)
• Joy Division – Love Will Tear Us Apart (Pro)

Plenty of Pro guitar upgrades available, if that's your bag. Remember, these cost 160MSP each.

Rock Band Network:

Finally, we're getting more and more Rock Band Network releases coming out every week, which is never a bad thing. Following up the wonderful Anamanaguchi track last week is probably the best band name I've heard in the last 48 hours, Mafia Track Suit. So yeah, that's a thing.
Here's the rest of the tracks:

Big Kenny - Happy People
Bluefusion - Andromeda
Mafia Track Suit - 28 Days

Also of note this week is the news that Drowning Pool have just been named the "Rock Band Network Artist of The Month". Well known as one of "babies first Metal bands", everybody seems to have at least some memory of their most well-known single, Bodies. Keep in mind that's the only song on Rock Band currently, so expect some more Drowning Pool over the course of the month.

That just about wraps it up for this weeks edition, but what are you most interested in playing? Comment away!
