The AG Rock Band 3 DLC Jamboree - 30th March, 2011
Feature from Nat - Friday, 01 April 2011 @ 1:08am
This weekly article will serve as a guide for what DLC is appearing on the various digital Rock Band stores this week in history. With a veritable bevy of usually quite decent content appearing every week, hopefully this article can serve as somewhat of a guide for what to look out for and what to avoid like the clappers.
Rock Band 3:
Looks like it's going to be a good week for guitarists, with some damn challenging DragonForce songs hitting the network:
DragonForce – Through the Fire and Flames (Pro mode available, if you're insane)
DragonForce – Operation Ground and Pound
Am I the only guitarist in recorded history that didn't like playing Through the Fire and Flames? Asides from the first challenging thirty seconds or so, it really wasn't that fun - hell, AC/DC's Thunderstruck was just as hard. Still, people can rejoice! Now, if Buckethead's Jordan hit the network next week, I'd be chuffed.
Also releasing this week:
Days of Peace Pack 01:
Jefferson Airplane – Somebody to Love
Blood, Sweat & Tears – Spinning Wheel
Santana – Black Magic Woman (Pro Mode Available)
That's a surprisingly awesome track pack - Somebody to Love is timeless, Black Magic Woman is brilliant fun on guitar and I can't wait to have a go at singing Spinning Wheel. Excellent work, Harmonix!
Finally, here's this weeks Rock Band Network releases, and It's a doozy:
Anamanaguchi - Airbrushed
This song is brilliant and I love any excuse to post Chiptunes on the front page, so here for your viewing pleasure:
FYI, these are the guys who did all the music from the Scott Pilgrim Vs The World XBLA/PSN game last year, arguably the only good part about it.
That wraps up another week at the DLC Jamboree, what tickles your fancy this week? More importantly, chiptunes: Awesome, or Awesome?

Well, if you dont have the game yet, the Gold Edition is a great buy. But if you have the game aaelrdy, just get the DLC on the marketplace. They both come with the Mercenaries Reunion.
that's actually pretty awesome pack! SPINNING WHEEL FTW!
also: chiptunes suck 99% of the time.
