The AG Rock Band 3 DLC Jamboree - 23rd March, 2011

This weekly article will serve as a guide for what DLC is appearing on the various digital Rock Band stores this week in history. With a veritable bevy of usually quite decent content appearing every week, hopefully this article can serve as somewhat of a guide for what to look out for and what to avoid like the clappers.

Rock Band 3:

Bit of an odd pack hitting Rock Band this week, with the appropriately named "Billy Joel Piano Challenge Pack". Personally, I love playing Keys but am absolutely horrible at it. Also, I didn't know a single one of these songs before Youtubing the videos. Not a great sign, although it does bring the total Billy Joel songs available to download up to a mind-numbing 18. Thats... A whole bunch of Piano.

Here's the list for this week:

Billy Joel Piano Challenge Pack - 800 MSP
I Go to Extremes
Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway)
My Life
Prelude/Angry Young Man (Pro)
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant
She’s Always a Woman

And making it's triumphant return..

Rock Band Network:

Rock Band Network 2.0 finally launches with DLC this week, and what better way to start the show than with the showstopper:

Rock Band Network - Week 1

Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

Holy crap, that film clip is bad.
I mean, where do you go from here? I think Harmonix summed it up best on their own blog:

In 1999, "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" by Eiffel 65 took position #1 on charts throughout Europe and Australia.

In 2001, "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the Grammy Awards.

And in 2011, "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" was the first Rock Band Network song released with keys and Pro Keys.

They left off the bit about it being the greatest song ever since Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" and Nik Kershaw's "Wouldn't It Be Good?", but I guess that was a typo.
Man, imagine some Nik Kershaw DLC... You could have both the hits in one convenient pack, maybe even throw in the Get This cover versions.. a boy can dream.

On a scale of 1 to 10, just how brilliant is Blue, and what other terrible turn of the millennium dance songs would you like to see hit the Network? Comment away below!

Informative, but not convincing. Something is missing but what I can not understand. But I will say frankly: bright and benevolent thoughts!....
